10k + 5k

Ran the wonderful Cow Harbor 10k and the Steven Siller Tunnel to Towers 5k this past weekend. Two great runs.

The 10k was in downtown Northport, a seaside town that is as classy and understated as the shirts they gave out for the run (my favorite so far, minimal advertising on the shoulder and a nice three color image on the back). It was unseasonably warm and humid, and there was a killer hill in the second mile, despite all that I ran a decent 58 minutes.

Tunnel to Towers was a real experience, its not everyday you get to run through the Battery tunnel with 1200 hu rahing cadets, and a field of 7k+. Great food after the run too - pulled pork sliders, and great salads.
